Instant Memory recorders are pocket-sized instruments which do not
require patient connection by leadwires. Recordings are made by holding
the instrument against the chest or fingers. The ECG is recorded using
integral electrodes and is stored in memory for later telephone
transmission to an analysis center. These recordings can be used to
evaluate arrhythmias, anginal episodes, or other conditions which may be
cardiac related. Small and lightweight, they can be carried in pocket or
purse for easy access |

Loop-memory
cardiac event recorders continuously store ECG in memory. Pressing the
activate button freezes data prior to the event and continues recording
for a factory set or user-programmed interval. Models range from a 3
minute single event (1.5 minutes pre and post event) to programmable pre
and post events with up to 22 total minutes of memory. The data may be
telephone transmitted, directly transferred to a PC, or transcribed on
an analog recorder. |
