Aide is designed to provide bath access for the disabled and handicapped!
The handicapped and their caregivers will appreciate the ease with which the patient can
be transferred from a wheel chair into the chair for bathing. No longer will the caregiver
have to enter the tub or shower along with the patient. The patient should no longer fear
falling into the bath tub while being bathed, some may even bathe themselves at this
point. Shower Aide allows those who suffer from slight disabilities to enter from their
wheel chair themselves or if they require assistance, for it to be minimal.
Shower Aide is a patented quality product constructed of rust proof, polished, lightweight
stainless steel which is as easy to use as sitting in an easy chair. There is no computer;
electricity, batteries or water pressure involved in the operation. Simply sit in the
chair on the outside of the tub/shower, fold down the arms and with finger pressure
release it from the locked position and swivel into the bath. When the shower is
completed, lift the locking lever, swivel the chair to the outside of the tub or shower
where it locks into position for easy and safe exit. At all times the bather is in the
full size chair!!
The arm rests, back and seat are of MILDEW RESISTANT ABS PLASTIC CONSTRUCTION with a
comfortable textured finish. The perianal area of the seat has an opening and the perineum
area is recessed for improved hygiene. The seat swivels 180 degrees, to accommodate those
patients who require extended leg room because of rigid limbs or who suffer from
involuntary leg reflex as is often the case with Parkinson patients.
The chair can be ordered with a variety of anterior pelvic positioning belts as well as
anterior trunk support.
The chair is GUARANTEED NOT TO RUST!! Shower Aide is guaranteed against defects in
materials and workmanship for 1 YEAR from date of purchase. If there should be any defect
with normal use with Shower Aide within 1 year from date of purchase it will be replaced
at no charge.
The unit assembles in less than five minutes with no tools. It will accommodate bathers up
to 350 pounds in the 19 INCH WIDE and 16 INCH DEEP rotating seat. The supporting legs are
adjustable.
We are the only manufacturer of this product and it is our understanding that it is
eligible for Medicaid reimbursement and that the Veterans Administration will provide
reimbursement for those patients to whom they are providing in home health care pursuant
to CFR 17,115. The product may also be reimbursable under existing private insurance
policies.
