This Necessary Messages Healthcare Communication card is a visual easy to see and easy to use,
9x14" double-sided laminated card filled with pictures, statements, requests, questions, and pain scale and is washable. It allows the patient to express their basic and immediate physical and emotional needs by pointing to the appropriate area of the card. Let them save their energy for when they really need it. Allows the patient to participate in their own care and improves the quality of the time you have with them.

This communication card can be customized with family member photo's or other necessary image or statement.
Available flat or folded (folded slips in clear sleeve for portability).
Languages available: English, Spanish, Russian and German.

Available in Basic or Extended Version
Basic version has 63 pictures & 30 statements/questions/requests. Includes numbers/color pain scale.
The basic version is intended for patients needing to communicate immediate basic physical and emotional needs. Pictures are larger in case of compromised vision or low lighting.
Extended version has 96 pictures and 45 statements/questions/requests. Includes the alphabet.
The extended version is intended for more long-term care. This document would be very
helpful if a patient is transferred to a skilled or rehab unit or is to receive home care.
