GFD is dedicated to the development and manufacturing of
innovative, technical diamond products in the medical field. Because of a new,
micro technological process, developed by GFD, the manufacture of surgical
diamond blades having unique features and extreme sharpness is now possible.
The Blades

Extreme sharpness - Due to the special plasma polishing process,
we are able to reach new dimensions in blade sharpness. The cutting edge
consists of only a few atoms using this process, thus reaching it’s physical
property limit.
Visibility - GFD has developed a special opaque blade. This feature makes
Diamaze-blades easier to control during surgery.
Precise cutting - The variability of blade size and thickness provides extremely
precise cutting through human tissue.
Variability of blade shapes - Diamaze blades can be manufactured in many shapes.
Shapes can now be realized that are impossible to manufacture with natural
diamond.
Getting smaller - GFD technology allows for a continuing miniaturazation of the
blades, thus further reducing wound sizes.
Phantasy - Diamaze diamond blades offer an excellent opportunity for innovative
surgeons to think up new blade shapes and to develop new surgical techniques.
Attractive prises - Our production processes and innovative sales concepts allow
GFD to always offer diamond blades at attractive prices.
The Handles

Diamaze blades are set in robust titanium
handles which were especially developed for the use in ophthalmic surgery.
Bajonett handles offer good protection for the valuable blades against damage.
They are easy for surgeons and staff to handle and have a high life span.
For protection against corrosion all handles are covered with a titanium nitrite
layer.
Diamaze-scalpels for ophthalmic surgery
GFD offers a complete set of Diamaze scalpels for ophthalmic surgery including
Phaco lances, Clear Conea Lances, Paracenthesis lances, depth controlled -,
crecent -, and retinal scalpels.
