Dr. Perlsteins Medical Therapeutic Pillow Click on image to enlarge Migraine has been considered as one of the most painful afflictions known to mankind. It is a known fact…many adults have been known to attempt suicide during an attack. It is that agonizing! According to physicians, migraine has been classified as vascular meaning – blood within the brain in excess quantity, thereby affecting the arteries, veins and nerves within one’s head. During my many years of intensive clinical research involving migraine, I’ve concluded that the majority of chronic migraine sufferers experience their attack during sleep or upon awakening for the day’s activities. I am further of the opinion; migraine develops from poor sleeping positions. Poor sleeping positions involve excessive elevation of the sleeper’s head, which reduces the normal blood supply being pumped from the heart through the major blood vessels to the neck to the brain. Thus the pounding sensation all migraine sufferers endure. Another contributor to migraine is sleeping on a soft, fluffy pillow or even without a pillow. In either case, the head and neck are both angled towards the mattress with the sleeper’s neck severely bent: resulting in either case, too much or too little blood flows to the head. It is without question, my findings indicate proper support of the sleeper’s head and neck does eliminate migraine or limit the severity of the pain. In closing, during the 30 years of on-going research, I have concluded that based on their poor sleeping positions, the majority of Migraineurs are women! Dr. Perlstein's Medical Therapeutic Health Pillow was designed and developed after 30 years of intensive, clinical research through financial grants. Over 7,000 of these test pillows were provided to doctors and nursing home directors for their feedback as to the progress enjoyed by each patient chosen by these health care professionals. The results were exciting, promising and gratifying. Consequently, this pillow became a commercial health item in 1977. Major department stores throughout the nation featured this pillow through the efforts of Stanley Marcus of the Neiman-Marcus stores in Dallas, TX until 1981. At that time, Dr. Perlstein, in order to engage in further research, stopped shipping his pillow to department stores. This unique pillow is continues to be available exclusively through Dr. Perlstein. Dr. Perlstein concludes from his studies and findings over the past 35 years, that the pillow you rest your head on during sleep is vitally important to your health. Clinical research studies, X-rays and visual observations indicate the anatomical head and neck support this pillow provides for adults and seniors during sleep can prevent, eliminate or alleviate the critical/serious medical problems that affect the: SPINAL CORD, BREATHING PASSAGE, CAROTID ARTERIES. These are: -Stroke
