The AMPatch is a highly absorbent, highly flexible stoma cap that is waterproof, has a low profile and is flesh tone in color. The AMPatch is designed to collect and retain the mucous discharge from the stoma, for ostomates that have had a continent urostomy or continent ileostomy, for ostomates that have had a conventional ileostomy, colostomy or urostomy whose discharges are regulated, and for persons that have a mucous fistula.

A supplement to AMPatch stoma caps is the Universal Dressing. The separate fleshtone waterproof adhesive and absorbent pads are specifically designed for the ostomate. The Universal stoma caps are convenient for the new ostomate in that the amount of absorbent material can be increased or reduced as mucous flow varies and thus enable the ostomate to achieve the least conspicuous stoma cap at the earliest possible time.
