The '88 Mixer' uses a unique blending technique, based upon the Schatz inversion kinematic principle this is the same motion as the Swiss Mixers. This highly ordered form of 3-dimensional motion, allows homogenous mixing of powder substances of different specific weights and particle sizes. The result? A rapid and accurate mixing of dry and liquid ingredients in all ratios. The '88 Mixer' achieves a homogenous blend in a minimum mixing time. To permit the rhythmical speed variation essential to the operation of the Schatz Inversion Kinematic, The '88 Mixer' employs a patented linear motor drive. This avoids the use of a complex oscillating drive system involving gears, chains, and drive belts that the Swiss Models use, and , all of which are subject to wear and require regular maintenance and replacement. As a result of the Linear Motor design, the '88 Mixer' is virtually maintenance free. Linear Induction Motors operate on standard three-phase electrical supply, and their speed may be adjusted by using a conventional micro-inverter speed control.
